For Rice, being one of the recipients of the dairy farmers of Ontario bursaries has reduced stress and streamlined the next phase of his life. “Being selected as one of the recipients of the OHA Bursary was a great honour and was a huge financial stress reliever.” Rice said.” “The bursary continues to assist me as I enter the post-secondary path that is fit for me.”

Similarly, an event of this magnitude can is life changing in many ways including growing as a person. “I have learned that there are many different paths that lead to success, and that not everyone is the same.’ Rice said. “The bursary gave me the opportunity to re-think my path to success and I am happy to say that I have found the post-secondary education that fits me best and I am excited to pursue it with help from the OHA Bursary.”

With the 2025 Bursary Program underway and open to submissions, Liam has some words of wisdom for anyone that is thinking of applying. “The advice I would give to anyone applying to the 2025 bursary is to be themselves. Don’t let anyone put words in your mouth, be yourself and good things will come.”
