Cambridge, ON – “Throughout my career, she was in the background but she was the glue. She’s always been the toughest in the family.” The Great One Wayne Gretzky said this back in 2004 when his mother Phyllis Gretzky was battling lung cancer.
This is relatable for anyone that has played the game; moms are paramount when it comes to the game of Hockey. The are the chauffer, meal preparer, strategist, doctor, and support system for young people that are involved in the game.
